Photo Gallery: Omgya Gön, Yunnan
Omgya Gön is a Drigung monastery that was practically inaccessible. Since our last visit there, the monastery has been linked to the valley-bottom highway with a vehicular road. Like other monasteries in Yunnan, Omgya Gön is the soul of all local people.
We are happy to have been able to get funds to rebuild the temple and the monks' quarters, and additional funds to finish off the vehicular road linking the monastery to the main road down below.
