Nangchen is another county in Yu Shu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, located in the most southern part of Qinghai Province. The size of the county is 11,500 km². The capital town is Sharda, 193 km² from Yu Shu. The best known high Lama of the county was Nangchen Adeu Rinpoche of the Drugpa Kagyü Lineage, who passed away in 2008.
